YES SIR! part 3

It was another busy day at the school. Security guard, Cemut was doing a routine patrol when suddenly he came across a huge bundle of woods and steel lying on the corner of the school block. Cemut nodded his head in denial and went looking for the individual who cause such an eyesore. He saw a couple of foreign workers who were sitting under a tree.

Cemut: "Hello boss, mind telling who put those rubbish over there?"

Foreign worker 1: "Me polo bot cakap put sinun"

Cemut: "What? I don’t understand what you are saying. Can you speak proper English."

Foreign worker 2: "pare, like this, ito my friend here said that he only followed what our boss said to put those rubbish over there."

Cemut: "Oh like that ah? Where is your boss now?"

Foreign worker 1: "Bot maybe go ofit."

Cemut: "Ofit? You mean office ah?"

Foreign worker 1: "Yes,go ofit sinun."

Actually Cemut had a hard time understanding what the foreign worker was saying but in the end he knew that there was someone who he can talk to regarding the rubbish and that was their boss. They told Cemut that their boss just went to the office and so, he went there. Half way to the school office he met the person who was responsible for the rubbish. Cemut can tell just by looking at that person's outfit that he was the boss of the two foreign worker.

Cemut: "Excuse me sir, did you instruct your men to throw woods and steel over there?"(Pointing at the corner of the school block)

Boss: "Yes, do you have problem with that?"

As soon as Cemut heard what he said, he was quite angry.

Cemut: "Wah! Like that ah you answer me back!?"

Boss: "Ya lah, you gave me a question mark so I reply bah."

Cemut: "WHO GIVE YOU PERMISSION TO PUT THOSE RUBBISH THERE!? GOT BLACK AND WHITE OR NOT!?"

Boss: "Don’t believe me? Okay, you go and talk to the office over there."

Cemut went to the office and ask the receptionist about the situation and she said that the rubbish got permission from the principal to be put there.

Cemut: "Sure ah got black and white and permission ah from the principal?"

Reception: "Of course, if not why would we even bother asking those men to put IT over there?"

Cemut: "Okay, okay I'm just making sure only, okay thank you."

Cemut went out of the office when suddenly he saw his guard officer walking towards him with a face like a bull wanting to strike at him. Cemut knew something was not right.

Guard officer: "CEMUT! WHY IS THERE RUBBISH AT THE CORNER OF THAT BLOCK!? WHO GAVE THOSE WORKER PERMISSION!?"

Cemut: (stutter) "Umm...but...but the people in the office said that they got permission to do so."

Guard officer: "WHAT!? WHO OFFICE PEOPLE SAID THAT!? IN THE OFFICE GOT SO MANY PEOPLE AND DO YOU SEE ANY BLACK AND WHITE!?"

Cemut: (stutter) "Ah...a...actually not yet sir but the people in the office said that its already got black and white."

Guard officer: "JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE WORKING IN THE OFFICE THAT DOES NOT MEAN THEY CAN MAKE THEIR OWN RULE AND EVERYTHING MUST FOLLOW THE LAW IF NOT THEN THERE IS NO LAW LAH AND IF ALREADY NO LAW THEN WHAT IS THE USE OF SECURITY GUARD!?"

Cemut: (stutter) "But...but...what about..."

Guard officer interrupt: "TODAY I GIVE YOU 1 WARNING LETTER, NEXT TIME IF THE PEOPLE FROM THE OFFICE OR EVEN THE PRINCIPAL SAID THAT THEY GOT BLACK AND WHITE PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU SEE THE PAPERS AND GOT PROFF, DONT JUST TAKE IN WHAT PEOPLE SAY BLINDLY!"

Cemut:"Another warning letter sir? Ayo that makes 3 warning letters already (sobbing) I do this kena scolded if I don’t do that kena scolded also...(mumbling)"

Guard officer: "WHAT DID YOU JUST SAID!?"

Cemut: "Nothing sir, I just said that it would be nice to eat chicken soto."

A life of a security guard was never easy when it comes to do what you should do and take responsibility. As for our security guard Cemut, this is his third warning letter which made a deduction in his salary. Being a security guard doesn’t mean to take every matter easily but it should be taken seriously even if it just about a single hair. Sometime small problem can grow to a bigger problem if not handle correctly.
